Professor Dr. Sarad Onta, Former Assistant Dean of IOM, Tribhuvan University has extensive knowledge of the health care sector and public health research, having contributed to the development of national health policies, plans, and strategies for over three decades, A prolific writer, he has published in national and international journals as well as presented at national and international conferences on a wide range of topics related to public health. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice-Chair of the Ministry of Health and Population HIV and STI Control Board as well as Member Secretary of the Nepal Health Research Council and Member of the High-Level Policy Advisory Body at the Ministry of Health and Population. Currently, he has taken on the role of Country Coordinator of People’s Health Movement Nepal, which works on various programs and activities aiming to help improve healthcare through comprehensive Primary Health Care and address Social, Economic and Environmental Determinants of Health.
