Prof. Dr. Basant Pant is a pioneer Of Nepali health services. He is founder chairman and a chief neurosurgeon at Annapurna Neurological Institute and Allied Sciences located at Maitighar,Kathmandu. He also serves as chairman of Annapurna Research Centre and Neuro Foundation Nepal and as founding executive member and Vice President of Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Since 1980, he has been contributing to Nepali Health System. He has served as Past President and lifetime member of Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeon.He is a professor at the Department of Neurosurgery at Kist Medical College and Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. Similarly, he was an editor of Journal of Nepal Medical Association. With years of experience and multiple surgeries, he has published more than 60 articles in peer reviewed journals and attended more than 300 major national and international neurosurgical conferences. He has special interests in Functional and Vascular Neurosurgery, epilepsy management and Research.
